Guided Growth, Exceptional Results
Why we’re different

At Salit Conservatory, we are guided by the pedagogy of concert pianist and educator Rufus Choi, whose teaching emphasizes imagination, emotional awareness, and refined physical technique. We don’t rely on casual lesson plans or one-size-fits-all instruction. Instead, our students follow a carefully designed course pathway that builds foundational skills, develops expressive tools, and trains them to control sound, timing, and emotion—resulting in true musicianship, not just note reading
Because every great musician started with a solid foundation.
Group classes provide an ideal learning environment for beginner musicians, offering longer instructional time and a well-rounded introduction to music. In this collaborative setting, students build essential skills—music theory, aural training, rhythm, technique—while developing confidence alongside their peers. The extended class format allows for deeper understanding and practice than traditional private lessons, creating a strong and lasting musical foundation. Group classes also offer a more accessible, cost-effective entry point for families, allowing young musicians to grow, explore, and flourish in a supportive community.
